Flight Lieutenant David Moore Crook, DFC (24 November 1914 – 18 December 1944) was a highly decorated British fighter pilot and flying ace who fought during the Battle of Britain flying with the legendary No. 609 Squadron RAF (Auxiliary Air Force) He operated the iconic Supermarine Spitfire and became a recognized flying ace, destroying multiple enemy aircraft, including a Junkers Ju 87 and Messerschmitt Bf 109s. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC) for his bravery and skill in combat.
