This is a book within a book, a life within a life. It is Tom Seddon's autobiography, from his earliest childhood in Kumara on the West Coast of the 1890s to the 'present' day, a tale of pleasant nostalgia and occasional sad memories. It is also the story and naturally an intimate one, of the last years of 'King Dick' Seddon, as seen through the eyes of his son and indirectly through the eyes of his large family.
