The Battle Of Long Tan As Told By The Commanders - Bob Grandin

This book presents the Battle of Long Tan in Vietnam through the firsthand accounts of six Australian commanders and one New Zealand commander involved in the fighting on 18 August 1966. It describes Delta Company's discipline and leadership, the vital contributions of artillery, helicopter resupply and armoured reinforcements, and the unit's struggle against a vastly superior enemy force. The commanders also explore the battle's devastating aftermath, the controversy surrounding recognition of their bravery, and their continuing efforts to correct historical injustices.
